Comb Aruba’s historical roots at this museum, which showcases a number of ancient artifacts for review. Admission is free at this museum of cherished collectibles. It is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Aruba Golf Club

Perfect your swing at this nine-hole golf course nestled in Aruba’s tropical terrain. You might catch a glimpse of the course’s drifter - a goat that occasionally makes an appearance on the manicured greens.



Bubali Pond

Aruba's endangered burrowing owls, egrets, scarlet ibis, and other exotic creatures flock to this tranquil pond, which can be sighted from the greens of the island’s world-class Tierra del Sol golf course.



De Olde Molden

Sink your teeth into the savory, continental cuisines of a restaurant housed in this historic windmill, which was originally built in Holland in the early 1800s and then shipped to Aruba.

Diorite Boulders

Curiosity will embolden you to explore the ground of these ruins of the Bushiribana gold mines - a 18th century discovery credited for prompting the gold rush.

Historical Museum

Take a walk through the oldest building, Fort Zoutman, which has become an open book of the island's past. Museum hours are from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Hooiberg

Attempt an exhilarating climb, aided by a winding stairway, up this 540-foot-high hill in Aruba.



Numismatic Museum

Thumb through loads of cash at this life-size piggy bank, which has a collection of more than 30,000 bills and coins. There is no charge to browse this museum, which is open from 7:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Oranjestad

Come and snag the catch of the day at the capital city of Oranjestad, where fishermen and wharf merchants come to sell fresh fish. The city has a Dutch flair, with colonial architecture that will astonish you. Dart across town to the downtown area where shopping venues are plentiful.
